The Great Easter Breakfast - Wednesday 28th March 2018

In celebration of Easter and the spring season, we will be holding our Great Easter Breakfast on Wednesday 28th of March 2018. Children will come into school at normal school time and at 9.30am, staff and pupils shall all meet in the hall to have breakfast together. All the children will be provided with a special breakfast in a beautifully decorated hall, filled with daffodils and other spring flowers!

The menu is as follows:

  • Boiled eggs (please indicate if your child has an egg allergy)
  • Fruit kebabs (Grapes, apples, banana, orange)
  • Fruit squash drink
  • Toast and jam (gluten free bread available - -please indicate on reply slip)

Fr. Edd will be opening our special breakfast with an Easter prayer, and there might even be a surprise visit from a very special guest! It looks set to be a wonderful occasion where our children can enjoy breakfast together and celebrate the joy of Easter.

Easter Bonnet Competition:

As part of the Easter Breakfast, we would like all children to come to school on Wednesday 28th March 2018 wearing an Easter Bonnet they have created and decorated at home! Prizes for the best bonnets in each class will be given out by Mr Clifford and Fr Edd, who are our esteemed judges!

Easter Breakfast Raffle Draw:

From Wednesday 21st March, members of the PTA will be selling raffle tickets priced at £1.00 each for children to buy. The raffle draw will take place during the breakfast- there will be lots of Easter/Spring prizes up for grabs! Tickets will be available to buy every morning and afternoon in the week leading up to the breakfast.

What you need to do:

In order for this event to be a success, we are asking parents for a donation of £3.00 per child and £5.00 for sibling groups. Everything we raise will benefit school projects. As this is a whole school event, no child will go without a breakfast, but we can only continue to run such events with your support. Please therefore do pay the donation if you are able to do so. Payments are to be made directly via your child’s ParentPay account. If you are paying for a sibling group, please make your payment via your eldest child’s account. Please alter the amount to pay to reflect the sum of £5.00.

Please inform the school of any specific dietary requirements and allergies your child has when you complete the slip below. For those children who have allergies we will ensure they are not in contact with any food that they may be allergic to.

From Monday 26th March children can start to bring in an egg cup for their boiled egg. Egg cups can be made using the inside of an old egg box. Again, prizes will be awarded to the best home-made egg cup. There are lots of ideas on-line so be creative! If anyone needs an egg box – please contact the school office.

On the day, we invite anyone who wishes to do so to bring in a small bunch of daffodils for us to decorate the hall. If you have any small vases that we could borrow, please hand them into your class rep. If you are able to assist us in the set up and clear up of the breakfast, please speak to your class rep as soon as possible.

Thank you for your continued support of our school.

Yours faithfully

Mrs Soraya Erskine
