Re: Appointment of New Head Teacher
Following a rigorous and extensive recruitment process for the position of Head Teacher here at St Andrew’s Southgate Primary School (CE), the Governors are delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Neil Mason. Mr Mason, who is currently a Deputy Head at a one form entry primary school, brings with him a vast experience of both teaching and leadership, as well as a passion for delivering an excellent and innovative primary school experience for all our children.
As you know, over the past three years St Andrew’s has been through a period of significant change and improvement. As a result of this hard work, we are blessed to have a wonderful school characterised by a high-quality, passionate and committed staff body.
The Governors would like to take the opportunity to thank the whole school community who have been instrumental in delivering these improvements. In particular, our thanks to Mrs Bacon who will continue to assume the position of Acting Head Teacher during this interim period.
The Board of Governors now look forward to working with Mr Mason as he takes us on the next step in the school’s journey to build on the schools considerable successes.
Mr Mason will take up the Head Teacher position on 7 January 2019 when we return to school for the Spring Term.
Yours sincerely
James Adeshyian
Chair of Governors
