Message from the Head Teacher
Welcome to a new term and Happy New Year to you all!
I am delighted and honoured to be appointed as the new head teacher for St Andrew's Southgate Primary School (CE), and I am very keen to get to know parents, as well as the pupils, staff and governors.
From my experience of being a teacher and a school leader in range of primary settings for over twenty years, I know that a safe, successful and forward thinking school depends on all of us working together. St Andrew's has a strong sense of community based on the Christian values that I share. Its successful recent history is due to the hard work of the pupils, staff, parents, and governors both past and present. I look forward to finding out more about the school so that any changes made, continue to further its success and are supported by the whole school community.
Parents make an important contribution to children’s achievements at school, and I want to develop the relationship between the school and parents for everyone’s benefit. That is why over the course of the next term, I hope to meet as many parents and carers as possible to find out your views on how the school can continue to flourish. In the meantime please feel free to contact me by email or phone via the school office.
Warmest regards
Neil Mason
