Well done England and a special thanks to our very own Gareth Southgate!
We are working with a poet, Simon Mole. He came to our class and led a poetry workshop on the theme of recycling. Later this term we will be writing poems with him. We all worked hard and enjoyed ourselves.
We went on an invertebrate hunt in the school grounds. We found beetles, ants, snails, spiders, centipedes and even a butterfly! Most invertebrates like a dark, damp habitat.
It's science week and Year 4 and 3 worked together. We learnt that astronauts have to wear nappies when they are doing a spacewalk. We then found out which materials were best at absorbing liquids.
This week we have been working collaboratively to research and plan a report on Ancient Egypt.
We found lots of examples of acute, obtuse and right angles in the environment. Can you find them too?

We played a game in maths called Race to 200 where we had to use our knowledge of factors and multiples.
We love our new library! There are some great books there.
We have been using the tablets in our maths lessons this week. It was fun and we've learnt a lot about using the tablets.
We all enjoyed dressing up for Dahlicious Day! We loved the drama workshop too!
We played a collaborative game in history to learn about which countries the Romans invaded. They had a huge empire.
