Preparations are now in swing for our summer fair. Building on the success of last year’s fair, we are really hoping that this year’s new format will be even more enjoyable and profitable with as many parents, children and friends attending as possible. As always, its all in a good cause, and we hope that we can round of a busy year of fundraising and reach our target for our school library.
This year's fair will have a nostalgic 1980's feel with parents and children encouraged to come in their best 1980's finery - prizes will be awarded for the most authentic outfit! The Truants - our very own school band will also be performing live and we hope that as many people as possible will stay for the duration of the fair and enjoy the array of hot and cold food on offer.
The grand prize draw is always a popular feature of the fair and this year we are working towards putting together a collection of really fantastic prizes to encourage ticket sales. In order to do this, we really need your help.
If you, your friends or family work at a company which might be prepared to donate some products, or services, please do consider approaching them for a donation. If you are on friendly terms with a local shop keeper, or a particularly good customer of a hair dresser, restaurant, beauty salon or nail spa, could they be persuaded to donate gift vouchers? All donors will be advertised on the ticket and at the fair, so it’s an ideal way to generate some local publicity and support an exceedingly worthy cause!
As always, the success of this event has always been thanks to a hugely supportive parent community and this year will be no exception. If you can donate a prize or wish to help with the preparations for the fair or help on the day of the fair, your class rep would be delighted to hear from you, alternatively, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
