At St Andrew's Southgate Primary School we have worked with Little Sparks a number of times over the course of the years. The support that they have been able to offer children who have suffered a life -changing event or bereavement has been invaluable. Little Sparks supports children, their siblings and parents through any diagnosis that may be life limiting to that child, and any subsequent bereavement which may thereafter result. Little Sparks also supports children with the loss of a parent. The services offered by Little Sparks play a vital role through the grief journey, offering children a safe place to talk and express themselves through play and craft activities. They also hold an annual Memory Day for families where a child has died and various other events.
Little Sparks has now been chosen as one of three community groups to participate in the Tesco Carry Bags Grant Scheme. Between 1st September and the 31st October 2018, the Tesco stores below will ask customers to vote. We would be very grateful if you could consider voting for Little Sparks if you shop at any of the Tesco stores below:
Bullsmoor Lane, Chaseside, Edmonton, Enfield, Enfield Lock, Enfield Southbury, Lea Valley, Oakwood, Ponders End and Windmill Hill.
If Little Sparks receive the most votes, this will ensure that all the services Little Sparks provides will continue to be offered to all children who need support to come to terms with life changing events.
Little Sparks has worked very closely with St Andrew's supporting our children and their families and we would be delighted if you could please support this fantastic, local charity whose work has a tangible, positive impact on those within our own school community.
